The house is across the street from the beach access, a short walk to the sand.
Getting onto the islands
- From the north (Virginia, DC, New York): US-158 over the Wright Memorial Bridge into Kitty Hawk, then south to Nags Head.
- From the west (Raleigh): US-64 over the Virginia Dare Bridge, through Manteo, into Nags Head from the south. It skips the Kitty Hawk backup.
- Saturdays are changeover day. The bridges crawl from late morning to mid-afternoon. Arrive early, or after 4:00 PM.

Checking in
Check-in is at 4:00 PM. The house has keyless entry, so there are no keys to pick up.
Your door code is sent to you by message on your arrival day. For your privacy, it is never posted in this guide.
Parking
Free parking is on site at the house. Please keep the street clear for neighbors and emergency vehicles.
Arriving early?
Our cleaning team often needs the full turnover window, so please don't go into the house before 4:00 PM unless we've confirmed an early check-in with you.
Early check-in is sometimes available for a fee. Text us and we'll let you know the day before.
In the meantime: stock up at Food Lion in Nags Head, or Harris Teeter and Publix a few minutes north in Kill Devil Hills, then grab lunch nearby.

- Charcoal for the grill (not provided)
- Cooking basics and your favorite spices
- Personal toiletries for longer stays
- Reef-safe sunscreen and a hat
- Chargers, a flashlight and batteries
- A fishing license if you plan to surf fish
